We offer unpaid student internship opportunities throughout the year. Our internships provide student with meaningful work experience, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

Law Enforcement Internship

What will you do?

  • manage, analyze, evaluate, and summarize information and digital evidence connected with criminal and civil investigations
  • research applicable federal and state criminal statutes
  • conduct intelligence and analysis to gather information from open-source intelligence, and records obtained from investigative requests and or/legal process
  • learn best practices and principles with intelligence and analysis, digital forensics, and cyber investigations
  • attend various law enforcement training courses and seminars on a variety of law enforcement related topics, including intelligence and analysis, digital forensics, and cyber investigations

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or non-citizen, provided that the student volunteer is lawfully admitted to the United States as a permanent resident or otherwise authorized to be employed
  • part or full-time enrollment in an accredited 4-year or post-secondary level program, relevant to intelligence and analysis, digital forensics, cyber investigations, and/or criminal justice
  • 3.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Skills in organization, attention to detail, writing, communication and interpersonal *Proficient working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Background security investigation

Conduct legal research and draft memoranda of law in a broad spectrum of issues such as

  • General law
  • Fraud
  • Employee performance and misconduct
  • Contract
  • Audit reviews
  • Disclosures under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act
  • Administrative law
  • Civil monetary penalties authorized under section 1140 of the Social Security Act

Qualifications

  • Completed at least two semesters of study at an ABA accredited law school
  • Currently enrolled in law school
  • Good academic standing
  • Excellent skills in research, writing, and cite checking skills
