Office of the Chief Strategy Officer
The Office of the Chief Strategy Officer provides executive-level guidance and support to the Inspector General on key mission-critical issues, initiatives, and functions. The office is responsible for building strategic capabilities and relationships and developing new, major policy directions, innovative programs, and initiatives. It oversees congressional affairs, leads strategic planning and enterprise risk management efforts, directs communications with the public and the media, and fosters critical relationships, such as with the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency, the Social Security Advisory Board, among others.
The Chief Strategy Officer serves as the Co-Chair of SSA’s National Anti-fraud Committee alongside SSA’s Deputy Commissioner for Analytics, Review, and Oversight.
