Senior Citizen Home Director Charged with Exploiting and Intimidating a Disabled Adult

The director of Loving Care Senior Citizen Home was charged with intimidating or exploiting a disabled adult Dec. 4, following a Georgia Department of Community Health inspection, according to a Columbus Police report. Police conducted an investigation of the 4225 Alton Street facility at about 1:30 p.m., Dec. 4, allegedly finding several violations indicating 55-year-old Sheryl Drakeford exploited disabled adults, elderly persons and residents. Officers spoke with several patients who claimed they had not received the funds which were being channeled through Drakeford. Bruce Davis, 61, was also arrested, though his suspected involvement was not given. Both were charged with intimidating or exploiting a disabled adult. They were taken to Muscogee County Jail.
